Methi Aloo Paratha ಮೇಥಿ ಆಲೂ ಪರೋಟ
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup mashed boiled potatoes
- 1 cup finely chopped methi leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 TBSP Coriander powder
- 1/2 TBSP Garam Masala powder
- 1/4 TBSP Turmeric
- 1 inch Ginger
- 2TBSP Chopped Coriander
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Water as needed
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, add the whole wheat flour, salt, and oil. Mix well.
- Add Chopped Methi
- Add water little by little and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and non-sticky.
- Cover the dough with a moist cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In Hot Pan add the oil, cumin seeds, Ginger, Turmeric
- Add Coriander powder, Garam Masala powder, Chopped Coriander
- Add mashed boiled potatoes, Mix well.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and make 8 balls.
- Take one ball, flatten it and place a spoonful of the potato-methi mixture in the center.
- Fold the edges of the dough towards the center and seal the edges.
- Flatten the ball with a rolling pin to make a paratha.
- Repeat the process for the remaining balls.
- Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. Place the paratha on the pan and cook it until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
- Apply some oil on both sides of the paratha while cooking.
- Serve the hot Methi Aloo Paratha with chutney or yogurt. Enjoy!
