Kayee sasive chitranna is a dish from the Indian state of Karnataka .
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 Cup of gratedcoconut
- 3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 2 tbsp peanuts
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 2 Bydagi Chilli
- 4 Guntur Chilli
- 1 inch Tamarind
- 2 tsp Jaggery
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:
- Add Grated coconut, mustard seeds, asafoetida, Bydagi Chill, Guntur Chilli, Tamarind to blender jar
- Blend to coarse to fine paste and keep it aside
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
- Add the chana dal, urad dal, and groundnut, and fry until the dal turns golden brown.
- Add the grounded mixture
- Fry until moisture evaporates completely
- Add turmeric
- Add the cooked rice to the kayee sasive & savour with ghee
- Serve Hot
