ಕಾಯಿ ಸಾಸಿವೆ ಚಿತ್ರಾನ್ನ - Kayee Sasive Chitanna

 

Kayee sasive chitranna is a dish from the Indian state of Karnataka .

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 Cup of gratedcoconut
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • 1 tsp urad dal
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 2 Bydagi Chilli
  • 4 Guntur Chilli
  • 1 inch Tamarind
  • 2 tsp Jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add Grated coconut, mustard seeds, asafoetida, Bydagi Chill, Guntur Chilli, Tamarind to blender jar
  2. Blend to coarse to fine paste and keep it aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
  5. Add the chana dal, urad dal, and groundnut, and fry until the dal turns golden brown.
  6. Add the grounded mixture
  7. Fry until moisture evaporates completely
  8. Add turmeric
  9. Add the cooked rice to the kayee sasive & savour with ghee
  10. Serve Hot
